On April 10, 2025, WG3 of CYANOACTION will host an engaging symposium on cyanobacterial blooms at the Amsterdam Science Park Conference Centre (Turingzaal). The symposium, titled “Cyanobacterial Blooms: state-of-the-art on hydrogen peroxide and other measures to control cyanobacteria”, will showcase innovative strategies for controlling harmful algal blooms, with a special focus on the application of hydrogen peroxide in lake treatments. Esteemed speakers from Europe and the USA will present their latest research and practical insights, covering everything from team-based research initiatives to large-scale application methods. The event is designed to foster collaborative discussions that translate scientific advancements into actionable water management practices. This symposium is a key WG3 activity, reinforcing CYANOACTION’s commitment to enhancing water quality and ensuring effective cyanobacteria control.
